I have recently stocked up on a few first generation (91-93) 3000GT and Stealth ECUs (turbo and non-turbo). Additionally, I can take your non-working rebuildable core in to lower the price. If you are looking for one, don’t hesitate to contact me.
I just purchased some new suspension components to replace my aging ones, which is causing my front end to “wander” and jerk side to side. Here are the Moog part numbers I found based on some research:
MOOG Part # K80186 {#K9475} Sway Bar Link Kit (FRONT – listed as same for non-turbo and turbo, this has greaseable fittings)
MOOG Part # K80877 Sway Bar Link Kit (REAR – listed as same for non-turbo and turbo)
MOOG Part # ES2347RL (non-turbo) ES3044RL (turbo) Outer Tie Rod End (FRONT – greaseable fittings)
You can purchase these parts from RockAuto.com or eBay (make sure they’re actual Moog parts and not just interchanges with another OEM mfg)
Jackhammer (3si) has posted a timing belt installation video. It is not meant to be a step-by-step guide, but rather a collection of a 3S veteran’s timing belt installation tips.
Here is a rare model kit 3000GT VR4 produced by Lindberg in the 1990s. It is one of the biggest models of the 3000GT you can find at over 9″ long. I was fortunate enough to come across a sealed box so I took pictures. Unfortunately, I won’t be the one to open it
Does your 3000GT or Stealth have a rough idle or die in neutral? The problem could be your idle air controller. Stealth316 has a useful guide on how to inspect and clean your ISC/IAC attached to the throttle body. I’ve done this on several cars with idling hesitation and 75% of the time it clears the problem up. All you need is some basic tools, electronics parts cleaner, and an hour or two of time. Be sure not to strip the screws or lose the spring inside the IAC.

Do you need to replace your ball joints? As you may already know, Mitsu and Dodge won’t sell the ball joints individually, they want to sell you the entire control arm for around $800 each. Ridiculous I say. I bought mine for $35 each from “Custom Shift Boots” on 3si. Here’s his site . I was a bit lazy and paid a shop to install one. The labor cost for installing one ball joint and doing a 4-wheel alignment was $170.
Alternatively, you can get them at parts stores using the part numbers below. Surprisingly, the Hyundai Sonata has the same ball joints.

I’ve had a few people ask me if they can swap wheels from different years and what size tires to get. Here are a few combinations that I know do work.
Performance Imagery (Mobo on 3si) has posted a nice gallery of photos from the last NG. Check them outby clicking the image above.
