I’ve had a few people ask me if they can swap wheels from different years and what size tires to get. Here are a few combinations that I know do work.

When you buy tires, you’ll want to maintain the original rolling diameter as much as possible so that the speedometer and gearing remain accurate. Here are the recommended tire sizes:

Factory Sizing :

205/65R-15	25.49 in.
225/55R-16	25.74 in.
245/45R-17	25.68 in.
245/40R-18	25.72 in.

Optional sizing :

245/50R-16	25.65 in.
265/40R-17	25.35 in.
255/35R-18	25.03 in.
265/35R-18	25.30 in.
245/35R-19	25.75 in.

Swapping wheels :

91-99 3000GT/Stealth 16" wheels are interchangeable with all non-turbo models.

94-96 3000GT wheels clear the front brakes of 91-93 VR4/TT models.

97-99 3000GT SL 17" wheels are interchangeable with all non-turbo models and clear the front brakes of 91-93 VR4/TT models.

94 VR4 17" wheels fit all non-turbo models and 91-93 VR4s/Stealth TTs.

91-93 Stealth TT 17" fit all non-turbo models and 91-93 VR4/TTs.

96 Stealth TT 18" wheels fit all models.

95+ VR4 18" wheels fit all models.

As a general rule, 1G turbo models need at least17" wheels and 2G need 18" or bigger. If you’re buying aftermarket wheels, make sure you get a wheel with a width of at least 8.5" (turbo) or 8" (non-turbo).
